NEWS & VIDEOS: Four videos show a behind-the-scenes look at Carnival Cruises Mardi Gras at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.

Scheduled to enter service in February, Mardi Gras’ progress is highlighted with a series of videos that show workers finalizing some of the ship’s stunning public spaces, including:

  • The Cuban-themed Havana Bar, a homage to the historic capital offering custom cocktails and live Latin music (located on Deck 8)
  • The largest Camp Ocean kids play area in the fleet and the adjacent Dr. Seuss Bookville, part of the line’s exclusive partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises (Deck 4)
  • Limelight Lounge featuring live music and other entertainment options (Deck 7)
  • The luxurious Cloud 9 Spa, among the largest health and wellness centers at sea (Deck 6)

Workers also continue finalizing the installation of BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea, as well as 2,600 staterooms, including 180 suites across 11 different categories. Mardi Gras’ six themed zones are also taking shape, including restaurants from Emeril Lagasse, Guy Fieri, Rudi Sodamin and Shaquille O’Neal.

The first ship in North America powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Mardi Gras is scheduled to enter service February 6, 2021, from Port Canaveral, Florida, operating week-long itineraries from the Space Coast.
