NEWS: Here are venues and activities permitted based on vaccination status on Freedom of the Seas July 2, 2021 cruise from Miami.
Royal Caribbean is offering refunds/cruise credits to booked passengers who want to cancel their cruise due to these protocols.
Royal Caribbean, like all cruise companies sailing from U.S. ports, is guided by the CDC regulations which currently govern many aspects of their operations. These regulations help Royal Caribbean decide on venues permitted based on vaccination status.
On a sailing, most guests (and all crew) will be vaccinated and those that aren’t are primarily children. See the chart above for the list of venues permitted based on vaccination status, designed with the health of all guests and crew in mind.
It is strongly recommend that all guests 16 years of age and older be fully vaccinated before sailing. Royal Caribbean will ask, but not require, that fully vaccinated guests provide documentation of vaccination before boarding (for example, a U.S. CDC vaccination card).
A guest who cannot provide documentation of vaccination will be considered unvaccinated and must adhere to additional health protocols and undergo COVID-19 testing.
Unvaccinated guests 16 and older will be responsible for covering the fees associated with these tests.
Since the majority of the guests will be vaccinated on Freedom of the Seas, there will be venues permitted based on vaccination status. The cruise line will do their best to create opportunities for all guests to enjoy their time on board.
Your SeaPass card will be required to access lounges, shows and dining venues, so passengers will need to keep it handy at all times to know which venues are permitted based on vaccination status.
